Representation of each country/territory is determined by that country/territory but must enable effective representation of the national higher education system.
(Representation may be from the the peak body of the universities, consortia of universities, individual universities, government or a combination of these.) Individuals are not eligible to be UMAP members.
There are two levels of membership: Associate Membership and Full Membership.
Associate membership is open to any eligible country/territory that wishes to be associated with UMAP. Associate Member may participate in the Board Meeting as observer but cannot participate in UMAP exchange program.
Full membership is open to any eligible country/territory that agree to pay an annual contribution as assigned to them based on the formula set out in the constitution. Full members are expected to participate in the Board Meeting and are entitled to participate in UMAP Exchange Program.
